DESCRIPTION:A special tour of the Llandudno lifeboat station\, which promises to be an informative and rewarding evening with our partners on the water\, who are always there if we ever need them.\n\nThe evening will include:\n\nOn board tour of the all-weather lifeboat\, William F Yates\nWater safety talk by Nick Walton\, with particular emphasis on our rowing operations from Deganwy beach.\nDrinks\, nibbles and chats in the crew room\, to conclude the evening.\n\n  \n£12 per person which includes a donation to the RNLI and the cost of drinks and nibbles.

DESCRIPTION:WSR Fun Race\, with a passenger\, hosted by Madog Rowing\, MYC. \nThis is a scheduled event – further details and links will be available when published by the hosting club. \nUse the Deganwy Rowers CYC private Facebook group to register for race crew for this event. \nEvent description: \nAs some of you may be aware\, our Celtics are based on pilot gigs where a Pilot was rowed out to an incoming vessel. At the time\, the pilots would compete with each other for the work; with the fastest gig crew to get their pilot onboard first would get the job. \nWe have based our Fun Race on this – crews rowing out along a course\, with a passenger (the Pilot) to fetch some treasure\, before heading back. Start and finish are both at Borth y Gest. \nPreviously (and weather permitting) the water pistols come out to drench the Pilots on the beaches. \nWe then parade back down the trots\, to put the boats away before getting some food (and drink)\, and then onto the Prize giving.

The result: a “fragmented” maritime festival that enlivens the entire Gulf of Morbihan.
